Abstrak
Non-compliance in carrying out treatment in DM patients is a problem that is often found in hospital. The patient is no longer in control of the health service, the patient does not take medication because his feels that his blood sugar is normal. The sufferers of DM in the city of Depok issued by the West Java Provincial Health Office in 2020 was 50631 people. Whereas according to medical record data at the Sentra Medika Cisalak Hospital, the prevalence of DM sufferers from September-October was 187 sufferers. This study aim to determine the relationship between adherence to taking medication in DM sufferers and stable blood sugar values while in the Tulip Room of Sentra Medika Cisalak Hospital. The results of this study can be used as a source of information and education for patients with DM. The type of research is quantitative research, with a cross sectional consisted of independent variable compliance with taking medication in patients with DM and the stability of the GDS value as the dependent variable. Data obtained through distributing questionnaires. The population in the study were 187 patients who were diagnosed, and the sample in this study was 65 patients. The data has been done is processed and then analyzed in stages according to research objectives using computer software. The results showed that the results of the chi square test (p = 0,014), it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the level of adherence to taking medication in patients with DM with the stability value of GDS.
